Can & Bottle Drive for Tzedakah

The governor’s executive order allows can and bottle returns to resume as of June 15.  Please consider donating the deposits you receive to OKCJS so that it can be donated to a charity doing local racial healing, anti-racism, or additional systemic change work.  We have chosen Young Kings and Queens, a youth center in the Northside neighborhood, to receive the proceeds of this tzedakah. Young Kings and Queens is dedicated to the empowerment and inspiration of minority youth to live beyond the scopes of societal norms. You can learn more about this organization at https://youngkingsandqueens.org

Have your students help you collect and return the bottles. Use this opportunity to talk to them about how to be anti-racist. Make this tzedakah project be an opportunity for your family’s learning and help make a positive change in our community at the same time.

Reading your article helped me a lot and I agree with you. But I still have some doubts, can you clarify for me? I’ll keep an eye out for your answers.
